I truly want to be a great mom, a great spouse, and a great home manager, but I get caught up in all of my tasks, I get tired. I lose my steam and start to waver in my confidence and in my motivation. Then there are the times, when I feel new, refreshed, ready to commit to organization and a clean and settled home. I’ve begun to realize that when I feel so ambitious and excited to start anew with more energy and commitment, I seek out the very things that motivate me. So now I’ve decided to keep those very same motivators close by. I don’t want my energy to flag, but it’s inevitable. The kids will get sick, our things will get out of control, and chaos will ensue, but I’m hoping that with my sources of inspiration around me, I’ll be ready to jump back on the organizing bandwagon.

Here are some of my sources of inspirations…

Better Homes and Gardens magazine - I could just dive into the pages of this magazine and set up my home. I imagine sipping lemonade out in the gardens, reading a book on the patio, or cooking in the kitchens.

Everyday Food - Some of the best recipes, I’ve tried with my family have been from the pages of this magazine.

Cookbooks with pictures - I don’t know whether it’s the hunger that is awakened from the photos or the need to create, but I love looking through cookbooks.

Organizing websites - I like to visit sites that provide tips, before and after photos and inspiration. I’ve looked and looked and have been disappointed by some that make it seem so simple and I just don’t feel like I’m getting the helpful info I need. I do enjoy visiting the The Lazy Organizer, and I’m an Organizing Junkie. These are the places that I look to for a little organizing kick.
